It is never too late to find out what the magic of the martial arts is all about. If you are tired of sitting on the sidelines, it is time for you to hit the mats, break through your limitations and reach your truest potential!

Traditionally the Martial Artist was expected to be a well rounded person. A person of honor, respect, self discipline and focus. An artist, calligrapher or poet. Our goal is to honor this tradition and to help develop effective life skills and people who are on a quest to be their best, in every way.

"The ultimate aim of karate lies not in victory or defeat but in the perfection of the character of its participants."

- Gichin Funakoshi

"A man who has attained mastery of an art reveals it in his every action." —Samurai maxim

Lessons in Mindfulness is a program designed to enhance the physical practice of all serious martial arts students by helping the student discover their mental aspects of the martial arts.

“Wax on, wax off, “paint the fence, paint the house”; or “take the jacket off, put the jacket on” are lines from the popular Karate Kid movies and moves that are the basis of our martial art.

What this means is that our martial art doesn’t depend on brute force or physical strength for a person to effectively defend themselves. Circular blocks allow anyone to successfully redirect an attack.

Rank testing for belts/stripes is held every month. This allows you, the student to be sure that you are mastering material each step of the way. This will also help you develop self confidence and self esteem as you gain control of your body and see your self discipline, focus and attention span grow.

Classes are held 6 days a week. There is no limit the number of classes that students can attend, so if a student is really enjoying themselves and wants to be here 3,4,5 or even 6 days per week, we are happy to have them. You are free to take full advantage of the schedule in any way that works  for you and your family.

Ready to get started? The Introductory Program gives you 2 private classes and a FREE uniform for $29.95. (For Thai Kickboxing/Yoga/Tai Chi we offer a free introductory class.) The Introductory Program allows you try us out with no commitment, lets us evaluate the student to see how they will do in our program and also serves as an orientation, so that when you get into regular classes, they can follow along more easily.
